Would you like to make money by performing a quick usability test for a website or application?
User Testing Market is a little different from other testing platforms. It is like a marketplace where people can request user tests and users can perform the tests and sell their user test videos.
Please note there is no guarantee that you will get paid for a user test you have submitted. By submitting a video, you are marking it as "for sale," and it is up to the person who submitted the user test request whether they wish to purchase it.
Typically, all you need is some sort of screen-video recorder that can output MP4-format videos. A free tool you can use for screen recording if you use Chrome is the Screencastify extension for Chrome. You can also try ActivePresenter which has a free version and is available on both Windows and Mac. Depending on the specific test, you may or may not need a microphone to record your comments - some requesters may allow the comments to simply be entered as text.
In order to get paid, you'll need a PayPal account, bank account, or debit card. As you go through the sign up flow, you will be prompted for the necessary information. All amounts shown are in U.S. dollars. Our payments processor Stripe supports 135+ different currencies and will convert amounts when a payment is made.
You can start by viewing the user test requests that are currently open. Then, simply choose one and follow the instructions to guide you through the sign up flow if you don't already have an account with us.
Try breaking the video into smaller chunks (for example by recording one minute at a time). Then uploading them separately as Part 1, Part 2, etc.
Ctrl+End on Windows and Command+Enter on Mac is the hotkey to stop the recording. If that doesn't work, try clicking on a blank area of the desktop first, then hitting Ctrl+End / Command+Enter.
